THE GOLF COURSE 

Bethemont is a highly-rated modern layout designed by Bernhard Langer so expect a varied challenge over the undulating and woodland terrain.  Not too long and off a par 72, it’s still  good  to score 32 points or more.  There are plenty of doglegs so you can’t just bash the ball around and there’s plenty of water although very few bunkers.  It’s no surprise that members of Bethemont often score well elsewhere.  For a modern course to do well in an area where there are so many classic layouts is a very good indication of its quality.
