Morocco
The best kept secret for sunshine golf.
Just four hours from the UK, and an hour’s ferry ride from Spain, Morocco is the ideal starting place for the traveller to Africa. You go there with the expectations of mosques, vibrant open air markets and bustling kasbahs and you will not be disappointed, it has all these things and more.
Moroccan life is very much outdoors: late morning breakfasts by the pool, reading a book on the rooftop terrace and candle-lit ‘al fresco’ dinners. Golf is usually played early morning or mid-afternoon. At night, the place comes alive with wonderful nightclubs, stylish bars, casinos and food markets.
Morocco has three main tourist destinations – Marrakech, Agadir and Rabat. Marrakech is bohemian, charming and very friendly and the whole scope of accommodation rates among the finest we’ve seen anywhere. Service, attention-to-detail and decoration is of the highest order and you’ve got all the modern creature comforts too. And, as with all our holidays, if you don’t see what you like, tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll use our expertise, experience and contacts to come up trumps for you.
The golf is very pretty and a delight to play. Plus, all are easily accessible, wherever you choose to stay. The weather is ideal for golf from October to early June.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco. It is a city that mixes the past with the very modern - for every place of worship you may pass on your travels, you will also see at least three European style cafes! Smaller than Marrakech, it offers a very strong choice of golf courses.
Morocco must be explored – a tour around the markets, the Atlas Mountains, Majorelle Gardens, Saadian Tombs, ancient Berber villages, drives into the desert... the list is impressive! There’s plenty to see and do and our representatives will look after you as much or as little as you want them to. Excursions can be pre-booked by us or reserved during your stay.
No visa is required and the airports are modern and efficient. For holiday memories as wonderful as Ali Baba’s cave, the historic treasures of Marrakech, Morocco is a must...And it’s only four hours away.
