The accommodation comes in three parts - 25
deluxe bedrooms in the 16th-Century chateau
- known locally as “Little Versailles” along
with the gourmet restaurant, bar and
sumptuous lounges, a further 22 bedrooms
are in the Dependances (suitable for up to three people) next to the chateau and 40
bedrooms in the striking (and very ecofriendly)
wooden chalet overlooking the third
nine. It’s all very nicely put together.
As well as the beautiful accommodation,
gastronomy is another reason to stay at Vigiers
- Le Chai brasserie and Les Fresques restaurant
provide the perfect combination of hearty local
fare and a full-blown gastronomic affair. Most
clients take our excellent value half-board
options, leave the car alone and just sit back
and enjoy! Leisure facilities include two swimming pools,
a fitness and beauty centre and tennis.Walks
around the orchards are a perfect ‘digestif’
and cycling and horse-riding can also be
organised. In addition, Chateau des Vigiers has
its own working vineyard producing good red,
white and rosé - a tour and tasting here is all
part of the Vigiers experience, as well as local
foie-gras tasting and the occasional foray into
