We are the most modern part of the oldest golf holiday company in Europe. So we combine experience and expertise with the most up-to-date booking service and choice.
Booking with Us
GolfPlanet and French Golf Holidays offer you choice and knowledge of the destinations we feature. However, our choice comes within the following criteria: easy-to-get-to and safe destinations, quality golf, politically stable environments and a wide choice of accommodation and things to do.
Our prices include any taxes and service charges payable. Some hotels do have to charge the local taxes directly to you but these are no more than £2 per person per night and are only payable when we cannot pay these charges direct to the hotel.
The Confirmation of Booking sent to you by us will clearly detail the itinerary and the total price.
Deposits are 10% (or a minimum of £50 per person) plus any prepayments of the holiday cost at the time of booking and the balance is payable eight weeks before the holiday departure date or at the time of booking if the holiday departure is within eight weeks of the booking date.
Deposits and payments can be made either by credit card, debit card, cheque or bank transfer.
Name changes can be made at no charge but we do require the names and details of your party members before you travel.
Your tickets will be sent to you electronically about two weeks before your departure date and will include golf and hotel vouchers, tourist information and maps, a copy of your holiday itinerary and out-of-office contact numbers for use in emergencies.
We do not sell flights. However, flights can be advised and booked on your behalf using your credit card and we do have access to attractive flight prices through an ATOL-bonded sister company.
Groups and Societies
The holiday prices on the website are designed for parties of between 2 and 8 people. If there are more in your party, you should take the holiday price as a guide and contact us for a group price. We sometimes receive group deals such as a free bedroom for every 10 rooms we book and 1 in 10 free green fees and we will always try for a room upgrade for the Group Leader.
Your Financial Security
Book with Confidence. French Golf Holidays and GolfPlanet Holidays operate a Trust Account managed by Protected Travel Services (PTS), our membership number is 5087. PTS provide an independent trust account with HSBC and appointed Trustees. The Trustee’s on the Trust Account are an independent firm of Chartered Accountants.
What is a Trust Account
A Trust Account is the sure-fire way of providing 100% Financial Protection to our clients.
The basic principle of a Trust Account is that the consumers’ money is held in a secure account which is administered by independent trustees and can only be accessed once the consumer has returned from their holiday. Or, if we have Supplier Failure Insurance in place, your monies can be released once we have paid the suppliers for your holiday.
Our Trust Account meets all the requirements of the 1992 Package Travel Regulations and gives total security for your money.
The Benefits of the Trust Account
· The most secure method of providing 100% financial protection
· A Travel Industry-recognised HSBC account monitored and controlled by independent trustees into which all of your holiday payments are placed
· Lower cost holidays as a Trust Account is less expensive than other forms of financial protection and some suppliers give additional discounts on prices in return for our making early payments to them
· Lower deposits: now just 10% (or a minimum of £50 per person) plus any supplier costs we incur on your behalf at the time of booking
The Trustees are:
